steak tartare is a meat dish made from finely chopped raw fesh beef, marinating it in cognac or other spirits, onions, pickles and spicing it to taste or chilling it. it's served with toast bread with butter. enjoy it with a fine red wine, that's especially for my taste. ahihi.
the word is derived from the italian word tartari which means raw steak so that the term steak tartare actually translates to steak raw steak.
