The Road

Last Saturday afternoon, I've watched 'The Road', a 2011 Filipino psychological horror film directed by Yam Laranas, and starring Carmina Villaroel, Marvin Agustin, Rhian Ramos and TJ Trinidad. And I must say, this movie is awesome.
A great story. Very artistic. All artists were sensational. And most importantly, hindi baduy.
This kinda story-within-the-story movie is worth watching, but only for those who are into art and open minded! LOL

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

I don't know but I still don't like it, the part one as well. I like the cartoon series much more, or perhaps I expected more from the movie. Oh yeah, I guess people have only watched it because of eye-candy Megan Fox, and the live-action fight between the Autobots and the Decepticons is just the bonus! LOL

Love Means Never Having To Say You're Sorry!

I watched the movie 'Love Story (1970)'. I'm inspired to watch it because of Aga Muhlach and Angel Locsin's theme song of their movie 'In The Name of Love (2011)'! LOL

"Kinatay"

Director Brillante Mendoza, actress Mercedes Cabral, actor Coco Martin, actress Maria Isabel Lopez and producers Ferdinand Lapuz and Didier Costet attended the Kinatay Premiere at the Palais Des Festivals during the 62nd International Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2009 in Cannes, France

The film "Kinatay" makes us Filipino proud. Brillante Mendoza is the first Filipino to win Best director at Cannes for full-length film. He actually made his debut at Cannes with "Serbis" last year, 2008, which was also in competition.

"Kinatay" is about the grisly fate of a kidnap-rape victim (played by Maria Isabel Lopez), who is beaten up before she is murdered and hacked to pieces. And Mercedes Cabral played the wife of Coco Martin in the movie.

Ploning

oo nga pala, i wached the movie ploning last week, i don't remember when but i watched the DVD where i bought it last december in the philippines. actually, i really wanted to watch the movie at rockwell tent, in makati city, on december 4, 2008. the exactly day that i arrived in the philippines. but i was so tired from my flight, so i slept na lang in my hotel. ahihi. anyways, the movie is about, waiting devotionally for someone, keeping secrets, not showing what's inside the heart but very helpful to others. that's ploning in judy ann santos' role. the movie was nominated for the entry to the 81st academy awards for the best foreign language film category. yes, pinoy pride! but ploning did not make it. that's so sad. but somehow the movie was adored abroad. and the funny thing was when i watched the movie, i was eating salted cashew while i'm watching. because you can see in the movie how they produce the salt and the carmelized cashews. wala lang. ahihi. and you can see the other side of the philippines, specially the island of cuyo, palawan. they're speaking cuyonin. actually. di ko ma gets. bisaya ba yon? but all the casts learned the dialect for the film. ganda sya, kasi, dalawang beses ko panuod at dalawang beses din ako na luha. ahuhu. this is it.

100

hay, grabe, ganda ng film na 100. ganda ng gawa, galing galing ng mga artista. lalo na si mylene dizon. i fell in love with mylene dizon sa movie. galing nya. saka si eugene domingo, she shows her other side. kakaiyak sya sa huli. ahuhu.
"According to filmmaker Chris Martinez, his official entry to Cinemalaya is a "celebration of the senses and what life has to offer." His goal was to do a film about death in a young fresh way. By doing so he believes he celebrates life. 100 chronicles the last three months of a cancer-stricken woman (played by Mylene Dizon) who has a list of things to do before she dies. Her list of tasks, mostly dealing with closure and practical matters, covers the worldly and spiritual worlds as people close to her share her last days. The film examines the betrayal of the body, celebrates the senses and contemplates the end of life and how to live it. A light-hearted, briskly paced, youthful take on a classic subject, 100 stars today’s most exciting performers such as Mylene Dizon, Eugene Domingo, Tessie Tomas, TJ Trinidad, Ryan Eigenmann, Simon Ibarra, and others. Under the creative supervision of Marlon Rivera, 100 is written and directed by Chris Martinez." - Dagupena Dreamer

Quantum Of Solace

me and the alay gawi watched james bond "quantum of solace". but first we had dinner at moevenpick restaurant in stadelhofen. anyways, the movie was okay. it's actually for action fans. but the story is slight good. i love the locations where they shooted. natawa lang ako sa movie yung sa scene sa haiti kay "elvis", kasi nag swiss dialect sya! sabi nya "chlii heiss da, mami". it means, "a bit warm here". knowing naman na swiss yung director na si marc foster. ahihi. i was more excited about the soundtrack of the movie "another way to die" featuring jack white & alicia keys.

Tuesday, 3 a.m.

"tuesday, 3am" is the soundtrack of the film "latter days". the movie is about two guys who are the most opposite people in the world. aaron (Steve Sandvoss) is a young Elder (or a Mormon missionary) who wants to do his family proud and is quite passionate about his religion. christian (Wes Ramsey) is a shallow WeHo waiter/party boy who only looks forward to bedding a new guy every night. one day they met. ahihi. sad yung movie sa medyo huli. pero buti na lang may happy-ending.

Ang Pag-Ibig Ay Walang Hangganan

3 early in the morning i decided to watch a movie again. i watched "batanes". starring iza calzado and ken chu from the taiwanese boy group "F4". introducing, joem bascon. and also starring, bembol roco, daria ramirez, sid lucero, coco martin, glaiza de castro, mike tan, julio diaz and aleth dela cruz. the movie is soo romantic and the place is soo fantastic. i really fell in love with "batanes". i hope, one day, someday, i can visit the place. and the song. i soo like the theme song. "nag-iisa, wala ka na - noel cabangon". naging familiar yung song sa akin kasi, marck shared it on his blog, tapos na challenge pa nga ako, kaya gumawa ako kaagad ng poem. but i love the theme song, sung by jolina magdangal "hanggang dulo". the song is also composed by noel cobangon. hay, so romantic. this is it.

Sino Ka Para Humusga?

i watched "imoral". the movie is very realistic. i like the acting of it. the character of katherine luna shares her husband paolo paraiso (second from left) with his lover arnold reyes. edgar allan guzman (rightmost) plays a special role in the movie. well, sa end ng movie, mapapa-isip ka talaga ng todo. pero natawa ako sa song non ending. "kung ako ba sya" sung by piolo pascual. sana meron ng composed theme song for the movie. ahihi. (sana ako na lang kinuha noh?) jowks!

Tag Araw, Tag Ulan

it was 2 in the morning as i decided to watch "tag araw, tag ulan". i've already seen the movie in year 1992, with my tito kid, donna and kriz. the movie was R-16. i and kriz were that so young, we were like 11 or 12. but opportunity we could watch because in our age we were that tall. but anyway, the movie is so romantic, but before i didn't understand what's in the movie going on. so i revisited the movie, so i related and understood the movie. dina bonnevie was so pretty and sexy in the movie. in my eye she's the most beautiful woman in her time. but i replace her with mariel rodriguez. ewan ko lang kung ako lang nakakapansin, pero magkahawig sila. that's why i soo love mariel rodriguez. smile.
